EDMS Software
EDMS is a comprehensive software interface for configuring meter functions including programming and reading, report generation and program development and maintenance. EDMS software is developed in-house using our domain expertise. This has a modular configuration, covering complete requirements of a utility. Some of the key Features of this software are:
Client Administrator Module:- This addresses the must-have requirement of access control rights for the uses of the software. Group or role definitions are incorporated for easy tracking and configuration.
Inventory & Help Desk:- It provide tracking of all meter details from inception to end. This can also facilitate logging of complaint and tracking of the same.
Data Collection: This Module will be used to download meter data through direct connection of meter to PC (or similar machine) using Hard wire on RS232/ Optical (DB9) port or through remote access. This can download all meter reading (Billing Data), Load profiles data and Event Log Data.
Data Analysis:- This Module is used for utilizing meter data for analysis and information. This will include various reports. The Reports access is the module access, which is defined by the administrator. Also provision to overwrite the default permission is available
Data Exchange:- This Module is used to define data exchange formats and rules between this application and any other third party softwares like Billing Systems.
Energy Audit:- This Module is used for performing Energy audit at various levels of distribution networks.
Billing:- This Module is used to calculate and facilitate current energy bill using meter data.
Web Access:- This Module allows user to perform analysis of consumption and billing pattern analysis over website.
Research and Development
As part of addressing ever growing and ever changing requirements of energy metering, EMCO has set-up an extensive research and development centre. This R&D centre maintains EMCO�s leadership in the electricity metering market by focusing on deployment of latest technologies and customized offering to various customers. This R&D centre is fully equipped, which apart from having a team of dedicated technologist in the area of electronic hardware, real-time embedded system, communication systems, applications software, mechanical design and reliability engineering also has a complete test set-up required for type validation of an energy meter. EMCO has developed unique solutions in the area of tamper detection, load management, revenue protection, energy accounting and communication.
